Hi! I’m Anthony, a language nerd and game geek. I’ve been professionally editing since 2019 when I started providing copy editing and proofreading for academic articles, but I’ve functionally been an editor since my university days in the early 2000s. I edit and proofread text in all its myriad and wonderful forms.
Although I’m happy to engage with any project in any genre or format, I do have a few areas of specialty: tabletop roleplaying games, data-heavy reports, and science fiction/fantasy literature.
When it comes to tabletop roleplaying games, I have a passion for interactive narratives and complex rule systems. Over 20 years of playing and running tabletop games and a lifetime of reading books, I’ve encountered a lot of different stories, and I want to use my skills to help create and shape the kinds of stories and experiences that have meant so much to me.
I also have a firm grounding in data analysis, allowing me to understand the complexities of academic, corporate, and governmental reporting and the importance of having a compelling narrative to support the policies and conclusions required by stakeholders.
I am a regular volunteer for Editors Canada; I enjoy supporting many of my fellow editors by championing the organization and what it can do for us individually and as a profession.

My Core Principles
Integrity & Authenticity – I only take on work which aligns with (or at least does not go against) my ethics and professional standards.
Curiosity & Open-Mindedness – I love exploring new ideas, both textually and metatextually.
Transparency & Responsibility – I strive to ensure my processes and decisions are clear and complete.
Empathy & Fairness – I treat all those I deal with equitably and kindly, as persons.
For how these core principles manifest in my professional editing, see my Editing Ethics and Professional Standards page.
